Tanya Sanders is Wells Fargo Auto’s head of retail underwriting and fulfillment

The Auto Finance News team is pleased to announce that Tanya Sanders, head of retail underwriting and fulfillment at Wells Fargo Auto, will be the 2020 virtual Auto Finance Summit’s Women in Auto Finance keynote speaker, presenting “Crisis as a Catalyst for Change” on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Sanders will share her journey as a female leader in the industry, highlighting personal anecdotes as well as the obstacles she has overcome during her 15 years in the finance sector.

From a global pandemic and the resulting economic impact, to civil unrest over racial inequality, the auto industry, country and world have experienced unprecedented change in recent months. Sanders will share her perspective about leadership through these uncertain times, including her own personal journey and lessons learned along the way.

Sanders’ impressive resume is packed with executive experience at leading finance companies such as Chase Auto, Bank of America and the JPMorgan & Chase consumer and community banking division.

Wells Fargo Auto is the eighth-largest auto lender in the industry, boasting a $47.9 billion portfolio as of yearend 2019, according to the Big Wheels Auto Finance ranking. The San Francisco-based bank originated $25.4 billion worth of loans and leases last year.

Sanders follows Renee Horne, the USAA vice president of consumer lending experiences, who was the keynote speaker at the 2019 Women in Auto Finance Luncheon in Las Vegas. In her speech Horne encouraged women, advising them to change the narrative of females in the corporate world and to be their “authentic selves.”

The Women in Auto Finance Keynote event is featured on Oct. 20, the first day of the conference. More than a lunchtime seminar, it is a platform designed to bring together the women in the industry for networking, connection and inspiration.
