LAS VEGAS — Four companies and one industry executive were recognized for achievement in the auto finance sector at a special ceremony at the 2017 Auto Finance Summit on Thursday.
Security Service Federal Credit Union and Ford Motor Credit Co. were presented Excellence Awards for their No. 1 ranks — for prime and nonprime/subprime, respectively — in the Auto Finance Performance, a lender performance data query.
General Motors Financial Co. was awarded for community service efforts. Specifically, GMF collaborates with Ronald McDonald House to facilitate the use of off-lease vehicles to transport sick children and their families.
The award for innovation went to Chase Auto Finance, which beat many other financiers to market with its direct digital lending application.
Additionally, Amy Martin, senior director of S&P Global, was presented an Excellence Award for her nearly 25 years of service to the industry.
Recipients are chosen from nominations by members of the industry and after the careful consideration of the senior editorial team at Auto Finance News, as well as based on lender rankings in the Auto Finance Performance.
