Diversity experts to speak at Auto Finance Summit

Amanda Harris

Auto industry experts will lead a live discussion on promoting diversity and inclusion through empowerment and equity at 11 a.m. ET on Oct. 22, during the 2020 Auto Finance Summit, which returns Oct. 20-22 as a virtual event.

Amid continuing protests for equality around the nation, auto lenders and dealers are focusing on diversity and inclusion within their own culture. It’s crucial for industry leaders to know how best to create a diverse organization that emphasizes equality while empowering dealer partners in their D&I journey.

Auto Finance Summit attendees are encouraged to participate in this important discussion led by panelists Ashley Brundage, vice president of diversity and Inclusion for PNC Bank; Charita Henderson, vice president of leadership development for Exeter Finance; and Shunda Robinson, global vice president of diversity and inclusion for GM Financial. Panelists will provide best practices for promoting diversity and inclusion, including ensuring equitable access to financial literacy for consumers. The speakers bring a range of experience in the world of leadership and diversity.

PNC’s Brundage manages PNC’s regional diversity and inclusion councils and provides education and training on diverse segments both within the company and with external groups seeking to expand their corporate culture.

Henderson has more than 25 years of experience in people management and operations. Her role with Exeter includes leading a consulting team focused on creating and implementing the company’s overall leadership development strategy as well as designing trainings and programs which foster leadership development and support the organization’s coaching and feedback culture.

Robinson, an award-wining diversity and inclusion global leader, serves as GM Financial’s voice on sustainable diversity and inclusion strategies. She has led GM Financial’s D&I initiatives for five years.
