Clutch Technologies, a software company focused on subscription and mobility services, launched two tools this week for dealers and manufacturers to manage fleet size, mix, and usage.
The first product addresses fleet valuation by leveraging remarketing data from Cox Auto subsidiaries Manheim, Kelley Blue Book, and Cox Automotive Data Solutions (CADS). The tool provides wholesale and retail vehicle valuation and considers market supply and demand data to identify “the right time” to remove vehicles from fleets, the press release said. CADS Chief Data Officer Mark Luber noted that “these initial products are just the beginning of our collaboration.”
The second, algorithm-powered tool focuses on optimizing fleet size and mix. Backed by CADS, the algorithm generates an optimal vehicle mix, comparing subscription frequency, customer preference and satisfaction, and inventory utilization.
“Subscription, mobility and service loaner operations rely on the ability to meet consumer demand with the right vehicle while keeping utilization high,” the release noted. “The output will allow Clutch customers to make better decisions about the vehicles in their subscription fleets.”
Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and BMW are OEMs currently leveraging Clutch’s subscription platform.
