Senior executives from three of the nation’s largest financiers — Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., BBVA Compass, and TD Auto Finance — will offer a strategic evaluation of market conditions during the “Executive Dialogue” session at the 2018 Auto Finance Summit.
The discussion will take place on the second day of the summit — Thursday, Oct. 25, at 9:45 a.m. at The Wynn, Las Vegas.
The panel will feature an open dialogue between Kevin Cullum, president of Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., Chuck Berend, director of U.S. auto lending at BBVA Compass, and Marc Womack, chief operating officer of TD Auto Finance.
With decades of experience navigating the auto finance space, the trio will provide insights and best practices for managing growth in a rising-rate environment.

With a career including 19 different job assignments in almost three decades — all in automotive sales finance — Cullum is a veteran in the industry. He joined Nissan in 2006 and took the helm as president and chief executive of NMAC in August 2017. Since then, he has made strides to better the captive’s overall operations and performance.
“[NMAC] booked really high quality of business this last year, it’s of the strongest years overall in recent history, and now we know the portfolio is going to perform well and pay dividends and improve quality over the coming years,” Cullum told Auto Finance News. “It has been a good year.”

Berend assumed leadership of BBVA Compass’s auto lending unit in April 2017. He came to BBVA Compass in July 2015 as SVP of risk management to oversee credit strategy and credit execution for the same unit. Before joining BBVA Compass, Berend served in various risk management and operations leadership roles at AmeriCredit, Triad Financial, and Exeter Finance.
In 2010 Berend founded and led Bonfire Capital Group, a subprime lender focused on independent dealers in Texas and Oklahoma.

As chief operating officer of TD Auto Finance, Womack is responsible for commercial lending, retail operations, and field distribution for TD Bank’s U.S. auto lending organization.
He brings more than 27 years of consumer and commercial banking experience across multiple segments including auto, credit card, personal loan, commercial real estate, and insurance.
Womack has also served in several senior executive roles at JPMorgan Chase, Capital One, and HSBC.
