Polaris has promoted three executives to lead its motorcycle, off-road vehicle and electrification strategy departments, the company announced last week.
The former president of motorcycles, Steven Menneto, has been named president of off-road. In his role, Menneto will oversee Polaris’s off-road vehicle and snowmobile segments. Menneto was previously president of motorcycles for four years, where he developed and cultivated a customer-first approach across the business. As a result of his leadership, Indian Motorcycle has gained marketshare every year and has lead the industry in owner satisfaction ratings, according to a company press release.
Meanwhile, President of International Michael Dougherty succeeded Menneto as president of motorcycles and will oversee both departments. Dougherty was named president of international in 2015 and since then has grown international sales into a more than $800 million business and established a presence in 13 countries around the world.
“With Indian Motorcycle, our largest brand outside of North America, Mike’s rich international experience will prove invaluable to a business that is expecting continued growth from international consumers,” Polaris Chief Executive Scott Wine said in the release.
Chris Musso, president of off-road, was given a new role as senior vice president of electrification strategy. Musso, who joined Polaris in 2017 as president of off-road, will coordinate across Polaris’ powersports portfolio to advance the company’s electrification strategy and expand on the groundwork established by Polaris’ current electric vehicle product offerings.
All three leaders assumed their roles effective December 6 and will continue to report to Wine.
