PowerSports Finance Conference Expands Speaker Roster

PowerSports_image_520x476Several key executives from some of the nation’s largest powersports finance providers have joined the roster of speakers at the inaugural PowerSports Finance 2015.

PowerSports Finance 2015 on Oct. 21 will offer industry professionals the first dedicated full-length forum to share insights, best practices, and practical intelligence on matters of import to lenders of motorcycles, jet skis, RVs, and other specialty vehicles.

Jeff Young, executive vice president and chief operating officer at newly launched Yamaha Motor Finance Corp. USA, will deliver the event’s Keynote Address. Young will present at 9:45 a.m. PT on Oct. 21, and will participate in an audience-fueled Q&A immediately following his presentation. At Yamaha Finance, Young is responsible for developing the strategy and driving the performance of the Yamaha Motor Corp. captive. He has 17 years of business and financial services industry experience.

Later in the day, a trio of executives will participate in a panel discussion about understanding powersports finance risk. Topics include identifying risk threats, perfecting cost-benefit analysis, and developing strategies for seeking out the most effective solutions. The panelists are:

  • Donal Hummer Jr., president and chief executive at ThunderRoad Financial;
  • Vijay Patil, chief risk and strategy officer at Yamaha Motor Finance; and
  • Chuck Smith, senior vice president and chief lending officer at TDECU.

Other conference speakers include Mark David, a vice president at Independent Bank; Scott Yarbrough, editor of the Black Book Official Motorcycle & Powersports Value Guide; and David Johnson, CEO at First Associates Loan Servicing LLC.
