Former SCUSA general counsel Walden moves to Tricolor [caption id="attachment_56408828" align="alignright" width="178"] Rich Walden, general counsel, Tricolor Holdings [/caption] Rich Walden was named general counsel at Tricolor Holdings last month. Walden made the move to Tricolor from Santander Consumer USA (SCUSA), where he served as general counsel for nearly seven years. In his new role, he will work with the Tricolor team to “offer responsible, affordable, credit-building loans to individuals with no or limited credit history,” he said in a LinkedIn post. Walden practiced law at Doss Law Firm, P.A. , U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Walden Law Firm prior to joining SCUSA’s team in 2015. Community Financial Credit Union names new CEO [caption id="attachment_56408829" align="alignleft" width="197"] Tansley Stearns, CEO, Community Financial Credit Union [/caption] Community Financial Credit Union appointed Tansley Stearns as its new chief executive officer, effective in June. Stearns has held key roles at credit unions throughout her 24-year career, including at Bethpage Federal Credit Union , Connex Credit Union and BestSource Credit Union . Prior to joining Community Financial Credit Union, Stearns served as chief operating officer at Canvas Credit Union , which had a $3.8 billion managed portfolio. Michigan-based Community Financial Credit has assets of $1.2 billion and provides auto, powersports, home equity, student and mortgage loan services for more than 84,000 members. Stearns will succeed Bill Lawton , who started working at the credit union in 1982 and has served as CEO since 2004, according to a statement. “We know Tansley will share an exciting future with us as she leads our credit union to build on our past successes,” Board Chair Don Bain said. HyreCar appoints new CTO [caption id="attachment_56408825" align="alignright" width="200"] Greg Tatem, CTO, Hyrecar [/caption] Carsharing marketplace HyreCar has named Greg Tatem its new chief technology officer, effective May 23. Tatem will be responsible for scaling the company’s platform capacity to more than 100,000 vehicles and leading HyreCar’s global technology and digital operations. Tatem replaces Ken Grimes , who served as CTO since February 2021. Tatem has more than 25 years’ experience in technology and e-commerce, according to a release. He has previously held leadership and engineering roles at Wine.com , where he launched a subscription service and created live chat feature with sommeliers, and at Williams-Sonoma , where he expanded the company’s e-commerce platform for its five brands. Hyundai’s Munoz joins OEM board [caption id="attachment_56408826" align="alignleft" width="207"] Jose Munos, president and COO, Hyundai Capital Company [/caption] Jose Munos , president and chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor Company joined the automaker’s board of management May 2. In his new role, Munoz will be responsible for driving performance in new markets, including Africa, Europe, India and the Middle East, according to a Hyundai statement. He will also take on talent acquisition and management to grow the Hyundai technology team. In addition to sitting on the automaker’s board, Munoz is joining the board of directors of Motional , Hyundai’s joint venture with technology provider Aptive . Munoz is a “proven leader and we expect his expanded role will greatly enhance our global operational excellence,” President and Chief Executive Jaehoon Chang said. Munoz will be based in both the U.S. and South Korea. He has been with Hyundai since 2019, following a 15-year stint at Nissan Motor Corporation . Duke takes helm at Polaris’ marine business [caption id="attachment_56408823" align="alignright" width="183"] Ben Duke, president of marine business, Polaris [/caption] Powersports manufacturer Polaris named Ben Duke as the president of its marine business, effective May 5. Duke, who has been with Polaris since 2019, previously managed the manufacturer’s Godfrey and Hurricane businesses, where he “increased market share and improved profitability, while improving efficiency and employee health and safety at the plant,” Polaris Chief Executive Mike Speetzen said in a statement. In his new role, Duke will be responsible for bringing growth and innovation to the marine business. He follows in the footsteps of Jake Vogel , who is taking a strategic advisory role at the manufacturer. Prior to joining Polaris, Duke worked for Briggs and Stratton , at Mercury Marine , and was a member of the U.S. Air Force . He “brings extensive management experience and industry expertise [to his role as president],” Speetzen said. Both Duke and Vogel will report to Speetzen in their new positions. Edmonds joins Intellaegis [caption id="attachment_56408827" align="alignleft" width="152"] Kelli Edmonds, consulting team, masterQue [/caption] Automated web-based software provider Intellaegis has signed industry veteran Kelli Edmonds to serve on its consulting team. Intellaegis powers masterQue , a software as a service solution. Edmonds has spent more than 35 years in the industry, including her past roles as senior vice present and director of business control and risk management at Santander Consumer USA ; director of bankruptcy and recovery at Hyundai Capital America ; and vice president at Chase Bank , where she was responsible for auto and student loan debt. "Kelli is as knowledgeable and well respected as anyone in the debt recovery space, whether you’re collecting the debt in-house or through third party vendors,” Intellaegis founder and Chief Executive John Lewis said in a statement.
