Santander US Holdings names Hendricks head of DEI [caption id="attachment_56407639" align="alignright" width="154"] Virnitia Hendricks, head of DEI, Santander US Holdings [/caption] Santander US Holdings , the parent company of Santander Consumer USA , named Virnitia Hendricks its head of diversity, equity and inclusion in an expansion of her role as chief diversity officer at SCUSA. Hendricks, who held the inaugural chief diversity officer role at the auto lender, has been with the company since 2020. In her new role, Hendricks will lead Santander US DEI efforts and continue to guide inclusive behaviors and mentorship programs, among other best practices. “I am so honored to serve the employees, customers and communities of Santander US, keeping inclusion at the forefront and partnering with our colleagues around the world to help people and business prosper,” Hendricks said in a LinkedIn post. Truist Financial names new board members [caption id="attachment_56407631" align="alignleft" width="158"] William Rogers Jr., chairman, Truist Financial [/caption] Truist Financial Chief Executive William Rogers Jr. has been named chairman at the bank, effective March 12, when current chairman Kelly King steps down. Rogers was appointed Truist’s CEO in September 2021, and formerly served as CEO and chairman of SunTrust Banks . Thomas Skains , who has served as a board member since 2009, will become the lead independent director succeeding David Ratcliffe , also effective March 12. Both King and Ratcliffe plan to remain on the board going forward. Amin moves up at GM International [caption id="attachment_56407634" align="alignright" width="187"] Shilpan Amin, senior vice president and president, GM International [/caption] General Motors ’ Shilpan Amin will replace Steve Kiefer , who is retiring, as senior vice president and president of GM International, effective April 1. Amin, who started with GM in 1996, currently serves as GM vice president of global purchasing and supply chain and formerly held other leadership roles at the automaker within GM’s vehicle engineering and global purchasing and supply chain areas. “Shilpan’s experience leading GM’s purchasing and supply chain and his extensive global engineering background uniquely position him to run our international markets and build on the great momentum we have throughout the region,” said Chief Executive Mary Barra in a statement. In his retirement, Kiefer plans to shift his efforts toward the Kiefer Foundation , whose mission is to end distracted driving and all associated traffic deaths in honor of Kiefer’s son, Mitchel, who was killed by a distracted driver in 2016. “Steve has been a valued member and major contributor to the GM leadership team for several years,” Barra said. “Under [Kiefer’s] leadership we have turned around our performance throughout the international markets.” The vice president of global purchasing and supply chain will be filled by Jeffrey Morrison , effective April 1. As president, Lohscheller will focus his efforts on the Nikola Tre BEV as the truck moves into production. He will report to Chief Executive Mark Russell . Lohscheller previously served as chief executive at Vinfast , executive vice president at Volkswagen Group of America and chief executive of German automobile manufacturer Opel , a subsidiary of Stellantis NV . “He knows his way around the manufacturing floors, boardrooms and showrooms and has worked with the latest technologies throughout his career,” Nikola Corporation Board Chair Stephen Girsky said in a statement. Cruise co-founder is back on top [caption id="attachment_56407633" align="alignright" width="200"] Kyle Vogt, CEO, Cruise [/caption] Kyle Vogt , who founded the startup Cruise in 2013, has returned to the helm as chief executive after serving as interim CEO for several months following the departure of former CEO Dan Ammann in December 2021. Vogt previously served as the company’s president and chief technical officer, as well as CEO from 2013 to 2019 amid General Motors ’ acquisition of Cruise in 2016. “Some fun news: I have formally accepted the CEO job at Cruise once again,” Vogt posted on LinkedIn , adding, “I have no doubt it will be a difficult challenge given our very ambitious plans, but I couldn’t imagine doing anything more important or more fun.” TrueCar CFO adds COO to his role [caption id="attachment_56407636" align="alignleft" width="172"] Jantoon Reigersman, CFO and COO, TrueCar [/caption] TrueCar Chief Financial Officer Jantoon Reigersman added chief operating officer to his title, effective March 1. As COO, Reigersman will be responsible for the online retailer's rollout of TrueCar+, which brings the car-buying experience fully online. Reigersman’s efforts as CFO have included the development and advancements of TrueCar’s business strategy. Prior to joining TrueCar in January 2021, Reigersman served as CFO of American content company Leaf Group for three years. “This appointment allows him to expand his contributions to accelerate our growth and transformation,” TrueCar CEO Mike Darrow said in a statement. Donalson steps up at PureCars [caption id="attachment_56407637" align="alignright" width="164"] Lauren Donalson, vice president of client experience and strategic partnerships, PureCars [/caption] PureCars promoted Lauren Donalson to vice president of client experience and strategic partnerships. In her new role, Donalson will be responsible for digital strategy, OEM programs, solutions engineering and business development for client and partner teams. Prior to her role as senior director of national accounts at PureCars, Donalson worked at GS Marketing and spent time in various roles at her family’s dealership group. “Lauren’s extensive in-dealership experience throughout the sales, finance and insurance, accounting, and service and parts departments, along with her automotive marketing knowledge allows her to consult from an inside-out perspective,” PureCars President Jeff Ranalli said in a statement.
