BMO taps Gordon to direct national sales
BMO Financial Group announced the appointment of Jamie Gordon as the bank’s first director of national sales and business development of its retail automotive finance arm effective last month.
Gordon’s role as director includes leading retail sales strategy, improving dealer experience, and strengthening dealer and OEM relationships, according to BMO Vice President and Head of Retail Automotive Finance Paul Hunsley’s LinkedIn.
Gordon has been with BMO’s auto finance division since 2017, where he serving as a senior manager of sales and director of strategic initiatives.
Prior to his career at BMO, Gordon held positions at Ford Motor Company, Queen’s University and Volkswagen Group Canada.
Shift names Lawrence GC and corporate secretary
Shift appointed Ryan Lawrence as general counsel and corporate secretary, effective Nov. 1.
Lawrence has more than 15 years of experience in legal and leadership roles, including his most recent position as deputy general counsel of corporate at Cushman & Wakefield. He also served as a partner at Mayer Brown LLP, assistant general counsel at Royal Caribbean, and chief legal officer at Textura.
“His broad legal experience and breadth of knowledge will be instrumental in accelerating Shift’s growth,” Shift President Jeff Clementz said in a statement.
Lawrence’s appointment follows the announcement that Toby Russell will step down as co-chief executive Feb. 1, 2022. Russell will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors and as a strategic advisor.
Co-founder and co-Chief Executive George Arison will serve as the sole CEO of Shift, effective Feb. 1.
Toggweiler is Inovatec’s new US sales director
Inovatec last month announced the appointment of Sean Toggweiler as its U.S. sales director for eastern and western states.
Toggweiler joins the Inovatec team from Finastra, where he served as an account executive. He has previously held positions at Global HR Research, Morgan Stanley and Thomas Financial.
At Inovatec, Toggweiler will work alongside directors of sales Brendon Aleski and Ioana Morariu. The leadership trio will drive customer success and company growth, according to an Inovatec release.
Gabay steps up to VP at Lightico
Lightico has named Moti Gabay as the vendor’s vice president of global partnerships and alliances, effective Oct. 26.
Gabay previously served as vice president of the international commercial group at LivePerson and as vice president of global customer success and international sales at Spot.io, according to his LinkedIn. In his new role, he will implement growth partnerships in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
