How does Chase Auto Finance pitch to consumers?
By teaching them.
In a new promotional video released last Friday, Chase Auto unveiled its new approach to consumer marketing, and it has Jim Manelis, Chase Auto’s head of direct lending, answering questions on car-buying from a couple, who are new parents. The couple says they want to spend $6,000 on car. Manelis suggests that the couple will only be able to afford a high-mileage used car for $6,000, so they should immediately take it to a mechanic to make sure it is sound. The video ends with the couple saying that buying a car will be a milestone for them.
The video, which appears to have been produced by Oxy, a video production company, has punchy music and “bridges the gap” between the consumer and Chase Auto Finance by including Manelis.
