BMW Financial Services was the standout in the 2014 J.D. Power Dealer
Financing Satisfaction Study, used to measure dealer satisfaction with lender service and relationships. BMW Financial Services came out on top for the retail leasing category, and second in the categories for prime retail credit and floorplanning.
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services ranked highest among floorplanners for a fourth straight year, while Ally Financial Inc. noticeably improved in all categories from the 2013 survey, landing in fifth place in two of three categories.
“Auto lending is a relationship business, and the key to success for lenders is to provide dealers with the best support and quickest response times possible,” Michael Buckingham, senior director of the auto finance practice at J.D.
Power, said in the study. “Dealerships want lenders that focus on building strong relationships and that provide a wide array of financing options for vehicle buyers. These fundamentals hold true for all auto financing products.”
