Lax to Head Bank of the West Indirect Sales, Marketing

Bank of the West named Michael Lax as the new head of sales and marketing for the bank’s indirect lending arm, which includes auto, marine, and recreational vehicles. Lax will replace Mark Beecher, who will retire May 1 after 19 years at the bank.

Andrew Hein will take over Lax’s responsibilities as head of Dealer Financial Services.

Lax, who has spent 30 years in the financial services industry, joined Bank of the West in 2007. Hein joined San Francisco-based Bank of the West Dealer Financial Services in 2012 as manager of the auto team. Previously, he was with U.S. Bank Dealer Services.
