With so many apps and online portals for financing vehicles in the marketplace, it can be hard to know what distinguishes them all and how they even work — without actually buying a car or hurting your credit score.
Chase Auto Finance wants to help consumers understand its latest platform — Chase Auto Direct. To that end, AFN attended an exclusive demo in New York.
The online and mobile-enabled auto lending platform debuted a pair of 30-second commercials featuring millennials dancing and financing cars with their phones before walking into the dealership. The platform is accessible through the Chase app via a redirect to the mobile web browser.
Consumers can browse new and used car inventories from local dealers, compare prices on a curve based on what other consumers have paid, and secure financing directly through Chase’s portal, which is powered by TrueCar.
Serving about 14,000 dealers, Chase said in its August launch announcement that the platform would rollout nationwide by early 2017. However, the company declined to say if that goal is complete yet. It went live in 40 states in September.
