Join the ‘Spark Tank’ Workshop on Wednesday, May 1, at 1:15 p.m. ET and kick the conference off with a new twist on the workshop model. Based on the format of a popular TV show, this session will have attendees thinking on their feet, showing off and cultivating entrepreneurial skills, networking with peers and deepening their understanding of current market conditions.
During the workshop, attendees will work together in groups to create an idea for building a successful startup that addresses a challenge or gap in the automotive finance industry. Leaders from each group will pitch their concept to a panel of “investors,” who will “fund” the winning idea.
The workshop kicks off three days of educational content and networking opportunities for the auto finance industry at Auto Finance Summit East in Nashville, Tenn., including:

Meet the investors
Anthony Capizzano is head of consumer lending at Axos Bank and has extensive experience spanning retail auto, banking and tech industries across Fortune 100 companies and startups. Before joining Axos in 2020, he served as senior vice president of product strategy and innovation at Bank of the West. He has also held roles at Capital One Auto Finance and served as CEO for Credimex Auto Finance.
Sunil Paul is CEO and co-founder of electric vehicle financing startup Spring Free EV, which provides specialized financial products tailored for high-mileage drivers and small businesses. Paul is a seasoned entrepreneur, was a co-founder of ride-share platform Sidecar and played a pivotal role in incubating car-sharing platform Getaround.
