Royal Enfield North America is “assessing” the Canadian and Mexican market for expansion opportunities, following the motorcycle manufacturer’s continued growth in the U.S., President Rod Copes told Powersports Finance.
Royal Enfield partnered with Dealer Direct in September, taking its consumer financing nationwide. Royal Enfield has long been searching for a retail partner to complement its existing partnership with ThunderRoad Financial, in an effort to serve the motorcycle manufacturer’s nationwide consumer base.
Now, the OEM has its eye on neighboring markets, Copes said, noting that Royal Enfield is still “early” in this expansion process. Royal Enfield works with “a few” dealers in Canada and one dealer in Mexico City.
