Do consumers want to make auto loan payments on their Apple Watch? BankMobile may soon find out.
BankMobile, the branchless bank startup, announced today that it “will be one of the first banks whose app will be available on Apple Watch when the device becomes available April 24,” according to a press release. A company spokeswoman confirmed with Auto Finance News that “auto loans will be implemented in phase two of BankMobile.”
The company — a unit of Customers Bank, headquartered in Phoenixville, Pa., with assets of $6.5 billion — already offers “free checking and savings accounts without any fees, access to over 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs, and a higher savings rate than the top four banks in U.S.,” according to its website.
