Auto finance execs to lead state of the market discussion at AFS East 

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that, back by popular demand, three executives will discuss the state of the market based on exclusive survey results on industry trends at 1:30 p.m. on May 2 during Auto Finance Summit East, taking place May 1-3 in Nashville, Tenn.  

AFN will compile participants’ thoughts on the state of the auto finance market and forecasts for the industry, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the market as well as insight into senior executives’ takes on the future of the industry. The panelists will discuss in-depth the trends and their thoughts on the market.

The summit also presents opportunities for networking along with professional development on topics such as electric vehicles, subprime financing, AI and technology in auto finance, and compliance.  

The speakers: 

Curtis Ash, chief financial officer at Avid Acceptance, has more than 18 years of experience in auto finance across accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, corporate development and investor relations, according to LinkedIn. Avid specializes in loans to consumers in bankruptcy, with Ash helping to facilitate relationships with banks to establish credit facilities while managing risk.

Betty Jotanovic, president of auto relationships and Chrysler Capital at Santander Consumer USA, has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and financial services industries and joined Santander Consumer in August 2018.

She specializes in senior-level leadership in underwriting, funding, collections, business strategy, and tax and treasury, according to her company biography. Jotanovic is also a licensed attorney and previously led credit and fulfillment organization at Bank of America for the automotive, RV and Volvo captive lines of business. 

Tim Owens, head of consumer vehicle lending at Bank of America, leads a network of retail client managers who work with more than 10,000 dealerships to provide access to automotive and recreational vehicle financing, according to his company biography. He also leads a team responsible for providing financing options for small business auto lending needs. Owens has held several leadership roles at the bank across mortgage and other consumer financial services and has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry.
