Daniel Soto, Ally Financial Inc.’s chief compliance officer, will be the keynote speaker at the 2015 Auto Finance Risk and Compliance Summit. The 6th annual risk and compliance summit will take place May 18 to 19 at the Hilton San Diego Resort, and Soto will present the keynote address on Monday, May 18. Ally Financial is one of the largest auto finance companies in the U.S., closing out 2014 with $41 billion in originations, according to the company’s fourth quarter earnings.
Soto became Ally’s chief compliance officer in 2010, and is responsible for Ally’s enterprise-wide compliance activities. Before joining Ally, Soto worked with Wachovia/Wells Fargo in anti-money laundering (AML) and retail banking compliance, was the chief compliance officer for Royal Bank of Canada-Centura, and spent eight years as the global AML compliance executive at Bank of America.
