Voting for the third annual Auto Finance Executive of the Year is open through Nov. 1

Whitney McDonald

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that voting for the third annual Auto Finance Executive of the Year is officially open.

The 2021 Auto Finance Executive of the Year award recognizes and celebrates the notable contributions made by industry leaders during the calendar year. The winner of the award will be named and profiled on the cover of the December issue of Auto Finance News.

This years’ winner will succeed 2020 Executive of the Year Ravi Raghu, executive vice president of Capital One Auto Finance, who guided Capital One Auto Finance’s Dealer Auto business through the pandemic with his focus on digital technologies that netted strong origination volume. Ally Financial President of Auto Doug Timmerman was awarded AFN’s inaugural Executive of the Year Award.

Cast your vote for Auto Finance Executive of the Year here.

As the leading publication for the auto finance industry, the editorial team looks forward to recognizing auto finance leaders in our yearend issue, and seeks input from the larger industry as well.

The final decisions will be based partly on the input received by our readers. The goal of this initiative is to celebrate auto finance and set the bar for achievement throughout the industry. We hope this effort, now in its third year, continues to encourage industry growth and innovation.

The four finalists for the 2021 Auto Finance Executive of the Year are:

  • Ernie Garcia III, chief executive, Carvana;
  • Marion Harris, president and chief executive, Ford Motor Credit;
  • Bill Jones, head of auto, Truist Bank; and
  • Mark Templin, president and chief executive, Toyota Financial Services.

Respondents also have the option to nominate write-in candidates from finance companies.

Please note that executives are not permitted to nominate themselves. Each industry member is permitted to vote only once. All responses will remain confidential.

Nominations close Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. Questions regarding the survey can be directed to AFN Editor Joey Pizzolato at jpizzolato[at]royalmedia[dot]com.
