GM Financial originations dip 5.4% 

Retail loan share inched up to 38.3% in Q2

GM Financial‘s originations declined 5.4% year over year in the second quarter as vehicle sales slowed.  Loan and lease originations tallied $14.1 billion, up 14.6% quarter over quarter, according to the earnings presentation today.   Outstandings totaled $109 billion, down 1.8% YoY and 0.7% QoQ. GM Financial was the second-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2025, according to the latest Big Wheels ranking data.  […]
