Ally Financial spotlights customers for ‘Banksgiving’ [Video]

Nicole Casperson

Ally Financial has recognized three customers who selflessly contribute to their communities not just during the holiday season, but every single day, said company Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer Andrea Brimmer

From running nonprofits to volunteering and fundraising, Ally is giving back to the customers that are giving their all to help their communities year-round. “We recognize how selfless these customers are in their service to their communities,” Brimmer said in a press release. “In the spirit of Banksgiving, Ally would like to show our appreciation and assist in their efforts to support their local communities and charities.”

With the second annual “Banksgiving,” a holiday the lender created to show customer appreciation, Ally donated personalized gifts to customers from Houston, Los Angeles, and Portland.

Ally documented the stories of Angel, Vince, and Ryan — as well as their reactions — when it surprised each of them with unique gifts.

“The customers honored here today share our commitment to giving back and doing it right,” said Alison Summerville, business administration executive and head of corporate citizenship. “This year, we set out to find the causes that are close to our customers’ hearts and give the important work they have already done an extra boost.”
