Jeep offers 10% off MSRP Labor Day weekend as automakers push incentives

EV deals include 0% APR

Automakers are pushing cash rebates on gas vehicles and 0% APR deals on EVs through Labor Day weekend ahead of upcoming 2027 inventories.

Kansas City, Kan.-based Morris Smith Auto Group anticipates a slight increase in new-vehicle sales through Sept. 8, owner and Dealer Principal Morris Smith told Auto Finance News.

The biggest driver might be Ford’s expansion of its low APR financing offers to lower credit tiers, Smith said. Ford is offering 2.9% APR financing for as many as 60 months, according to the manufacturer.

“This will make owning a new F-150 a possibility for people who did not have higher credit,” Smith said.

However, Labor Day weekend has not been a major sales driver for Morris Smith Auto historically, he added.

Automakers are primarily offering cash rebates and discounts through September, according to OEMs’ listings, including:

  • The 2026 Chrysler Pacifica, priced at $44,445, offers a $5,500 cash rebate or 0% APR financing for up to 36 months;
  • The 2026 Hyundai Sonata, priced at $27,450, offers a $2,500 cash rebate or 0% APR financing for up to 60 months; and
  • Select 2026 Jeep models are offering 10% off MSRP.

EVs see more deals

Meanwhile, EV makers are pushing incentives on new electric vehicles to drive sales following the federal tax credit expiration, EV lender Tenet Chief Executive Andreas Wallendahl told AFN.

“You can get great deals because the OEMs are providing promotion on both lease and loan offers,” he said.

Some EV incentives offered through Sept. 8, according to manufacturers’ listings, include:

  • The 2026 Honda Prologue offers 0% APR financing for as many as 60 months or $339 monthly lease payments for 36 months;
  • Select 2026 Hyundai IONIQ models offer 0% APR financing for as many as 72 months and a $500 cash rebate; and
  • The 2026 Kia EV9 offers 0% APR financing for as many as 60 months and a $5,000 cash rebate.
