Prime-plus auto delinquencies rise as subprime sees improvement

Delinquencies climbed in the second quarter across prime and super prime auto loans as affordability pressures continue to prompt a shift toward longer-term loans.  The industrywide 30-plus-day delinquency rate for auto loans on a dollar basis in Q2 was 2.34%, up 7 basis points (bps) year over year, according to Experian. The rate of 60-plus-day delinquencies rose 2 bps YoY to 0.85%.   […]
