GAP Alliance, Car Pros, Kunes Auto execs join aftermarket products webinar

Webinar set for Jan. 14 at 10:45 a.m. ET

Amanda Harris

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce the lineup for the free webinar “Tapping aftermarket products to improve dealer relations and profitability,” taking place on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 10:45 a.m. ET.

Tom Keepers, executive director of the Guaranteed Asset Protection Alliance, joins Shirley Jones, chief financial officer at Car Pros Automotive Group, and Scott Kunes, chief operating officer and managing director at Kunes Automotive

Keepers is also executive director of the Motor Vehicle Protection Products Association and Service Contract Industry Council. He monitors the federal and state-level legislative, regulatory and legal environments. The three organizations last year launched an effort to bring together lenders, product providers and dealers to address compliance challenges related to add-on products.

Prior to these roles, Keepers was president and chief executive at the Consumer Credit Industry Association for nearly seven years. He has more than two decades’ experience in the industry.

Jones oversees all financial operations at Car Pros and became CFO in 2018, while Kunes has more than 18 years of experience in the dealership business.

The free webinar, moderated by AFN Editor Amanda Harris, will explore challenges dealers and lenders face when it comes to the sale and management of ancillary products such as service contracts and guaranteed asset protection (GAP) coverage and help professionals improve aftermarket sales.

Register here for the free Auto Finance News webinar on Jan. 14.
