American Cycle Finance is prepping a sports bike program to launch in the first quarter of 2020 following the positive reception to its cruiser program, President Ben Donnarumma told Powersports Finance.
The sports bike program will share the same structure as the cruiser program, which places the consumer into one of 12 tiers based on their credit score. Then, depending on the model, the consumer has the potential to finance the bike without a down payment.
The cruiser program is in the pilot stage and will soon launch for American Cycle Finance’s entire dealer network. The sports bike program will launch without a testing phase next year.
“We’ll be able to roll [the sports bike program] out as soon as we get everything written, because we have enough historical data on the sport bikes,” Donnarumma said. “The cruiser program gave us the opportunity to dial down in the tiers and to get more granular. We’re already 90% there with the cruiser program, so [it will be] a very easy transition into the sport bikes.”
