Chase Auto, Wells Fargo Auto execs address banking automation at Auto Finance Innovation Summit

The Summit is live at the Intercontinental San Diego on April 25-26

Amanda Harris

Brandon Tapp, head of dealer services for Chase Auto, and Puneet Chandra, head of product and digital innovation for Wells Fargo Auto, will lead a discussion on automation’s role in auto finance at 9 a.m. on April 26 at the Auto Finance Innovation Summit.

Automation is the centerpiece of modern banking and financial services, playing a role in everything from credit underwriting to customer service. During this session, panelists will discuss credit underwriting automation’s effects on ROI and using chatbots and digital assistants in servicing to improve loss mitigation.

With Chase Auto, Tapp oversees commercial and retail loan sales at about 12,000 U.S. dealerships. Chase Auto, part of JPMorgan Chase’s consumer and community banking division, manages a portfolio of more than $80 million and has a relationship with 75% of the U.S. franchised auto dealers. The auto lender also recently launched a digital car-buying and financing platform to serve Chase’s more than 70 million customers.

Prior to his current role, Tapp managed dealers services credit operations for Chase Auto and held several leadership roles at Bank of America. He has served on multiple banking and community committees, including the Consumer Bankers Association, and diversity and inclusion councils at both Bank of America and Chase.

Chandra was head of auto technology at Wells Fargo for two years before taking over digital innovation, according to LinkedIn. Prior to joining Wells, Chandra served as vice president of digital and strategic initiatives at Synchrony and held leadership roles for more than a decade at GE Capital.

The 2022 Auto Finance Innovation Summit returns as a live event at the Intercontinental San Diego on April 25-26. The agenda can be viewed here.
