Auto Finance Summit Expands Speaker Roster

Auto Finance News

The Auto Finance Summit, the industry’s premiere event slated for Oct. 6-8, has bolstered its speaker faculty by adding automotive guru Aaron Gold and economist Keith Schwer.

Gold, whose auto picks and pans can be found on About.com’s Guide to Cars, will present an in-depth preview of the new model year. He’ll discuss a range of vehicles, from fuel sippers to luxury models, with insights garnered from about 100 test drives a year.

Schwer, director of the Center for Business & Economic Research at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, will offer a comprehensive view of economic trends in auto finance. He’ll detail the implications of the credit crisis, as well as consumer demand and spending, and offer predictions for the future of the U.S. economy.

Gold and Schwer join an esteemed roster of speakers, which includes Dan Berce, president and chief executive of AmeriCredit Corp.; Mike Buckingham, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Finance Corp.; Ken Clark, a senior vice president at Bank of America Corp.; Jeff Edwards, vice president of operations for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.; and Paul Kramarz, risk manager at American Honda Finance Corp.

Gold’s presentation will take place at 10 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 7; Schwer’s will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 8. To register for or learn more about the conference, visit www.AutoFinanceSummit.com.
