Pelican Hires SVP of Servicing

Welcome DoorPelican Auto Finance LLC hired Chris Mitcham two weeks ago as senior vice president of servicing and analytics, as part of the company’s growth plan, said Troy Cavallaro, the firm’s chief executive.

“We’re really looking into how to shore up the senior management team to take us to the next level,” he said. “You have to add key assets to do that.” The Chadds Ford, Pa.-based company wants to be “smart” about how it grows into new opportunities, as the market progresses into the next stage of the credit cycle, Cavallaro said. “We don’t want to be overaggressive and get caught up in the next overheated marketplace,” he said.

Mitcham has spent 14 years in the finance industry, with experience in underwriting, servicing, and managing risk. Most recently, he served as director of business development at consumer finance investment firm Credigy, according to his Linkedin profile.

The hire comes as Doug Brown, vice president of loan servicing, leaves Pelican to join CRB Auto as senior vice president and national collections manager.
