Hyundai Motor Company’s Heritage Series Grandeur brings a futuristic design and modern technology to the original sedan.
The concept electric vehicle (EV) has been updated with new side mirrors, covered wheels, slide cladding and parametric pixel LED exterior lighting. The interior is equipped with a “newness + retro” design featuring bronze-colored lighting, burgundy velvet seats, elegant stitching and auburn Napa leather on the back, according to Hyundai.
Designers included retro hardware and an ultra-wide, touch-enabled flatscreen display but kept the ‘80s flare with a single-spoke steering wheel and jet airplane-style gear selector.
The 4way4 sound system delivers clarity and deep bass with concert hall acoustics available through its soundbar’s piano function, which can be used when the vehicle is in park.
“With the Heritage Series Grandeur, our designers have reinterpreted an important part of Hyundai’s history as a wonderfully unique blend of vintage and contemporary that reflects the boundless possibilities of our EV era,” Head of Interior Group of the Hyundai Design Center Hak Soo Ha said in a statement.
