On the heels of a record-breaking year, World Omni Financial Corp. President Dan Chait announced yesterday four senior-level promotions. The Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based company is a subsidiary of JM Family Enterprises Inc., which provides financial products and services to auto dealers, consumers, and lenders via subsidiaries Southeast Toyota Finance, CenterOne Financial Services, DataScan Field Services, and DataScan Technologies.
Mike Tiufekchiev has been named group vice president, originations. He will be responsible for Southeast Toyota Finance sales and marketing, dealer services, risk management, pricing, and commercial operations. He joined World Omni in 1999 after serving senior roles with Ford Motor Credit and GMAC.
Mike Pritchard returns to World Omni from sister company and JM Family subsidiary JM&A Group to assume the group vice president, operations role. He’ll be responsible for the company’s service center operations, as well as training and business process re-engineering efforts. He started with World Omni in 1996 before moving over to JM&A Group in 2000.
Brick Toifel is now vice president of Southeast Toyota Finance Sales and Dealer Services overseeing its functions that directly interface with dealer customers. With the company since 1984, he most recently was vice president of operations.
Brent Sergot has assumed the role of president of DataScan Holdings LLC and its subsidiaries, DataScan Technologies and DataScan Field Services, and will continue in his role as vice president and general manager of CenterOne Financial Services. Before joining the company in 2001, Sergot held senior positions at Greater Auction Group, Walden Automotive Group, and Autodaq.

What safeguards are there for the banks to keep the customer from getting screwed by a high contract rate or dealer add-on packages included in the financing?
