Direct lender U.S. Bank has launched the U.S. Bank Auto Buying Service to offer consumers upfront pricing and easy access to financing information.
U.S. Bank teamed up with TrueCar for the online service, an effort meant to save consumers time and money. To date, TrueCar has facilitated the sale of more than 350,000 vehicles.
How does it work? When logging onto the site, customers can choose a vehicle and receive pricing from a network of 5,000 certified dealers. In just a few clicks, consumers can qualify for financing then head to a select dealership to complete the process.
“Buying a car should be an exciting, rewarding experience,” said David Herpers, vice president of consumer credit products at U.S. Bank. “The U.S. Bank Auto Buying Service gives our customers a fast, predictable and hassle-free shopping experience, with a direct connection to financing information so they can take action if they find the perfect vehicle.”
Unlike other direct lender sites, this auto buying service allows for a consumer not only to complete the application online, but to have a vehicle in mind before taking the trip to the dealer. The site also allows shoppers to take a look at what others paid for the same make and model. They can also choose color, options, and incentives.
