NMAC to Upgrade Wholesale Management System

Natalie Mattila

canstockphoto10546354Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. has kicked off an 18-month project to upgrade its wholesale management system, Mark Kaczynski, the company’s president, told Auto Finance News Monday.

The system upgrades will offer a “much better view” of the dealer’s commercial relationship with NMAC, he said, and it will help make the process for NMAC and the dealers “smoother.”

NMAC might have plans to enhance its system to allow dealers to view their commercial and capital loans in real-time, including interest costs and amounts outstanding, he said, which are areas NMAC’s current wholesale system do not currently encompass.

“NMAC is currently in the process of scoping out all of the new functionality, so it’s premature to commit to any specifics,” Kaczynski said. “We offer a pretty extensive commercial platform of various commercial products, and we believe there is an ability to enhance that to the dealer’s satisfaction and to give them a more holistic look at financing with us.” Dealer servicing is an area where NMAC currently has “significant” IT investments, he added.
