Manheim Buys Ready Auto Transport
Manheim added longtime partner Ready Auto Transport to its umbrella Friday, a move that will allow customers to buy, manage, sell, and transport inventory in one place.
As part of the arrangement, Manheim also acquired self-managed transport platform 1Dispatch.com, which “makes it easier for customers to ship inventory using a provider of their preference,” the auction company said in a release. 
Ready Auto Transport will remain a separate entity from Manheim, and its president, Mark Jensen, will stay on in the group vice president role, reporting to Manheim Senior Vice President of Product Development Joe George, who led the acquisition.
Ready Auto Transport’s management team and Mesa, Ariz.-based headquarters will also stay intact. Mike McNamara, Manheim vice president of business development, will serve as liaison to Ready Auto Transport, and will oversee day-to-day activities.
