After 14 years at auto retailer AutoNation, Senior Vice President of Sales Kevin Westfall has left his post to pursue other opportunities. Westfall’s resignation was effective Nov. 9.
Westfall oversaw sales for new and used vehicles, finance and insurance products, and fixed operations. Though the position will be restructured, David Koehler was promoted on Nov. 14 to SVP of variable operations. Koehler, previously a market president in the company’s Florida region, joined AutoNation from Sonic Automotive in April.
As part of his separation agreement, Westfall will receive his current base salary ― $482,040 minus taxes ― plus a 2011 performance bonus, prorated for 11 months of service.
Prior to the sales post, Westfall was president of AutoNation Financial Services, the company’s old captive finance arm. He was also a former president of BMW Financial Services.
