The guy in charge of policing auto lenders might have a funny bone.
Richard Cordray, director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Wednesday night, according to the show’s schedule.
No word on whether Stewart will ask Cordray to do a deep dive on how proxy methodology works.
The episode airs Wednesday night at 11 p.m. EST on Comedy Central
I suppose it makes sense that Cordray and the CFPB would appear on a comedy show. All the more reason to not watch The Daily Show.
on the contrary…this might be an excellent platform for Cordray. Thanks for the heads up.
No problem, Roger. I think it will be interesting to see what he talks about, and if he gets into auto at all.
right…actually the time might be spent on financial institutions. If the car guys think the CFPB is after them…then they ought to check out the challenges of FIs with Dodd Frank! 🙂
Saw it. Like I said, retail auto should feel lucky that they aren’t financial service providers. That’s the real focus right now!
