Auto Finance News has launched AutoFinanceNews.net, a unique community site to help industry executives navigate today’s rapidly — and dramatically — changing environment.
AutoFinanceNews.net is a social network, meaning that members of the free site can interact with one another by posting blogs, participating in forums, networking with new colleagues and reuniting with old ones, or creating and joining electronic groups. The site also includes news feeds and videos.
“Think of AutoFinanceNews.net as Facebook for the auto finance industry,” said JJ Hornblass, executive editor and publisher of Auto Finance News and its new sister web site. “The utility of the site is phenomenal, and we look forward to industry players using it to their advantage for a long time to come.”
The site, which went into beta release at the end of July, serves as a hub for auto financiers, technology vendors, and ancillary service providers. The site can also be customized. Advertising space on the site is available.
“The site is a long time coming,” Hornblass said. “Royal Media Group [Auto Finance News’ publisher] has been uniquely dedicated to the automotive lending and leasing industry since 1996. AutoFinanceNews.net advances our role and commitment to this marketplace to a whole other level.”
“We look forward to seeing our readers online,” he added.

Dealers are grouping together with help from the various ADA’s to fight the franchise terminations. In any normal BK, this action generates a delay in enforcing the terminations. If the June 9 deadline is extended at all, the 60 window is in jeopardy.
From my point of view, I think this whole thing is moving so quickly that any attempt to stall the process will be run over quickly. It seems that established BK law precedence is being ignored and GM is taking notes.
