FordPass, a new digital platform from Ford Motor Co., is slated to hit the market in April, the company announced Monday.
The platform will allow consumers to chat with customer service agents, dubbed personal mobility assistants; book and pay for advance parking through virtual wallet FordPay; set up service or maintenance in dealerships; and manage their Ford Motor Credit Co. vehicle finance account, according to a company release.
“If you are a Ford Credit user, you’ll be able to review your Ford Credit finance account,” a Ford spokeswoman told AFN, referring to actions like online payments and account edits. More functionality for Ford Credit customers will be announced at a later stage. The FordPass platform will be available for free, for all Ford drivers.
Separately, Ford Credit debuted another innovative effort geared toward millennials this week: a lease-sharing pilot for its parent brand, where three to six customers are able to share a single lease.
