AFS Acceptance Expands Management Team

Michael Thacker will join AFS Acceptance LLC as vice president of loan production, a new position, according to a company representative. Thacker’s appointment comes a couple weeks after AFS hired Greg Poppe as vice president of risk management.

Effective Aug. 4, Thacker will preside over the company’s underwriting, funding, and dealer services departments. Thacker most recently served as chief operating officer for Driversselect, where he was responsible for corporate support to store operations, including sales revenue, staffing, compliance, and lender relationships. “Mike’s comprehensive  understanding of the industry, as well as firsthand knowledge of working in a dealership, will greatly benefit AFS and our dealer network,” said AFS President Scot Seagrave.

Established in 1996, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based AFS Acceptance provides subprime financing for franchise and independent dealers in 28 states.
