McGlinchey’s Jason Bichsel to address federal compliance at PowerSports Finance Summit

Jason Bichsel, member of the law firm McGlinchey Stafford, will discuss the latest in powersports compliance amid the changing landscape of federal requirements during a presentation at PowerSports Finance Summit 2024, taking place Oct. 9-10.

Bichsel’s presentation will touch on:  

  • How to navigate the increased focus from regulators on dealership sales tactics, including aftermarket products; 
  • How to understand the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s oversight on repossession practices, fair lending and nonbank registry requirements; and 
  • Ways powersports dealers and lenders can work through changes in federal guidelines. 

Bichsel advises several types of lenders that work with the auto industry, including banks, finance companies, online lenders, and private companies, on regulatory compliance. Prior to joining McGlinchey, Bichsel spent five years as corporate counsel in BMW Group’s legal department, supporting BMW Financial Services
