PNC Financial appoints new president and other staff moves

PNC Financial appoints Lyons president Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group has named Michael P. Lyons president following a unanimous vote by the board of directors. [caption id="attachment_58337990" align="alignright" width="221"] Michael P. Lyons [/caption] He replaces Bill Demchak , who has been chairman, chief executive and president at PNC. Demchak will remain chair and CEO. Lyons joined PNC in October 2011 and has been executive vice president and head of corporate and institutional banking. Prior to PNC, Lyons was global head of corporate development and strategic planning at Bank of America and a portfolio manager at investment adviser Maverick Capital , according to a company release. “ In his new role, [Lyons] will be instrumental in further driving responsible growth across our franchise and strengthening PNC's position as a leading national bank,” Demchak said in the release. PNC’s auto portfolio increased 0.7% year over year to $14.9 billion at the end of Q4. Kuhlmann takes over as Navy Fed CEO Navy Federal Credit Union has named Chief Operating Officer Dietrich Kuhlmann as its chief executive beginning on March 1. [caption id="attachment_58337987" align="alignleft" width="184"] Dietrich Kuhlmann [/caption] Kuhlmann is replacing Mary McDuffie , who announced her retirement from Navy Fed in September 2023, according to a company release Feb.21. She worked at Navy Federal for 24 years and became the CEO in 2018. Kuhlmann joined Navy Federal in 2019 following his retirement after 35 years of service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Department of Defense . He has been the COO at Navy Fed for the past two years, overseeing operations across the credit union’s Pensacola, Fla.; San Diego; and Winchester, Va. locations. Kuhlmann was named Navy Fed’s leader following a “monthslong, rigorous process,” Ed Cochrane , chair of the board, said in a statement. Navy Federal had $24 billion in auto outstandings at yearend 2022, according to the Big Wheels Auto Data 2023 report. Perros announced as CFO at Pagaya Artificial intelligence lending network Pagaya Technologies appointed Evangelos Perros as chief financial officer, effective immediately. Perros has been interim CFO since November 2023 after Michael Kurlander stepped down. Perros was previously deputy CFO and head of strategic finance since joining Pagaya in 2021. Perros has been in the financial services industry for more than 25 years and his experience includes managing director and head of business planning and analytics at private equity firm Apollo Global Management and managing director, head of chief operating officer financial analytics and strategic expense management at JPMorgan Chase , according to LinkedIn . As interim CFO, Perros led the closing of a $280 million credit facility led by BlackRock to support Pagaya’s growth, according to a company release. NADA creates EVP of public policy role The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has named Paul Metrey executive vice president of public policy, a new position. [caption id="attachment_58337991" align="alignleft" width="150"] Paul Metrey [/caption] Metrey will lead NADA’s public policy efforts, including legislative, regulatory and public affairs, according to a Feb. 16 release. He joined NADA in 2001 as director of regulatory affairs. During Metrey’s time with NADA, he has also served as chief regulatory counsel, vice president of regulatory affairs and senior vice president of regulatory affairs, according to the release. Metrey is making the transition to the new position as Executive Vice President of Legislative Affairs David Regan retires after 23 years with the association. Along with Metrey’s shift, Andy Koblenz will become executive vice president of strategic affairs and Jim Minnis will lead the legal department as general counsel. Treadway named RumbleOn SVP and CLO Brandy Treadway , powersport retailer RumbleOn ’s new senior vice president and chief legal officer, will lead the company’s legal and human resource functions, according to a company release. [caption id="attachment_58337988" align="alignright" width="200"] Brandy Treadway [/caption] Treadway has more than 20 years of legal experience, starting her career as an attorney at Weil, Gotshal and Manges in 2001, according to LinkedIn. She joined J.C. Penney in 2011 and held multiple positions during her 10-year tenure, including senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, and interim chief human resources officer. “Her unique set of skills and her legal and HR background make her a great fit for our leadership team,” RumbleOn Chief Executive Mike Kennedy said in a release. “I'm happy to have her support as we grow and transform the company.” PureCars promotes Donalson to president Automotive consumer data and dealer marketing platform PureCars promoted Lauren Donalson to president after serving as chief operating officer since January. [caption id="attachment_58337989" align="alignright" width="175"] Lauren Donalson [/caption] Donalson has been with PureCars since 2015, when she started as a major accounts manager. During Donalson’s nine years with PureCars, she has held several positions, including senior vice president of client experience, strategic partnerships and client services; national senior director of accounts; and regional director of client experience, according to LinkedIn. Donalson spent five years at GS Marketing prior to joining PureCars. As president, she will work with executive leadership to oversee PureCars’ growth and direct strategic planning, according to a company release.
