Byrns serves as a senior adviser to specialty finance companies looking to optimize their capital structure and to funds that are considering launching a structured finance strategy. She has two decades of experience in private investing and financing at funds and financial institutions.

Previously, Byrns was managing director at CPP Investments (CPPIB), Canada’s largest pension plan. She also was a senior leader in CPPIB’s capital solutions group and oversaw the growth and development of the fund’s private structured credit platform across consumer finance, auto, fintech sectors, collateralized loan obligations and renewables.

Byrns’ experience also includes developing financing solutions for clients across fintech, aviation, mortgage and esoteric industries at Deutsche Bank. She is a writer, contributor and public speaker for industry-leading events in the investment and financial services industries.
