Honda will provide tips on how to:

  • Train professionals on complex funding structures,
  • Increase the flow of information in remote and hybrid work settings;
  • Unpack risk and compliance frameworks; and
  • Consider how mentors lend to the stability of a team.

Honda  is essentially chief financial officer at the captive financier, where he is a 20-year veteran. He leads the treasury, finance and accounting teams; facilitates planning initiatives; ensures financial compliance; and heads human resource functions for the captive. He has also held several leadership roles under the American Honda umbrella in manufacturing, U.S. sales, research and development.

The captive was the seventh-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2024 with a portfolio of $69.6 billion, according to the latest Big Wheels Rankings data. The captive’s loan portfolio through Sept. 30, 2025 totaled $43.4 billion, according to a Feb. 4 presale report from Moody’s Ratings

Auto Finance Capital Summit will provide a deep look at trends across funding, securitization and investment in the sector. Through networking opportunities, presentations and panel discussions, attendees will tap into key information to form strategies around capital stress testing, fraud mitigation, risk-based pricing and building successful treasury risk frameworks.
