I think it’s definitely possible for new car purchases. In fact, Volkswagen did a test run of it back in 2001 for one of their newer models in Europe (can’t remember the model but it’s a tiny car with lower costs). They allowed only purchasing through the Internet. Even if you went to the dealership, they offered you a computer to order the car. That’s it. I just don’t think it is applicable for used cars. Yes, some people buy cars on eBay motors without physically seeing it but unless they come up with beaming or virtual reality I don’t think it will be wide scale.
