Bank of America’s Michael Shaw to join Auto Finance Summit 2026 

Summit is Oct. 5-7 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas

Auto Finance News is pleased to announce that Michael Shaw, national dealer sales executive at Bank of America, will join a session on capital and credit cycles at Auto Finance Summit 2026, taking place Oct. 5-7 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

Michael Shaw

Shaw leads a network of retail client managers, national account managers and market executives working with more than 12,400 dealerships. His tenure in automotive and recreational vehicle lending spans 21 years, including more than 16 years at Bank of America. 

Previously, Shaw held various leadership roles in consumer vehicle lending at the bank. He also has held roles in dealer relationships and account management at Citi and Wells Fargo, according to LinkedIn. 

The bank’s indirect and direct consumer outstandings, primarily made up of auto and specialty lending loans, totaled $52.4 billion in the second quarter.  

Bank of America was the 11th-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2025, according to the latest Big Wheels Ranking data.  

Shaw will join the session “Capital, credit & cycles: Navigating auto finance through volatility” at 9:45 a.m. local time on Oct. 6.  

He will be joined by:  

  • Douglas Arrigo, chief financial officer at Chase Auto; 
  • Erik Laney, chief financial officer at Santander Consumer USA; and 
  • Jason Person, president at SAFCO 

The panelists will discuss origination trends, credit markets, opportunities in ancillary products, inflationary pressures and management strategies for 2027.
