Makinson, who joined NextGear in 2015 and was promoted to his current role in July 2024, will join a panel on funding alongside fellow industry leaders. The discussion will cover:
- Strategies to reduce borrowing costs and diversify funding sources;
- Leveraging data-driven insights to strengthen risk management, sales, and pricing models; and
- Insights on investor sentiment and relationships with credit rating agencies.
NextGear, which offers floorplan financing to independent dealerships, provided floorplan financing for 1.3 million vehicles in 2024, according to the company.
