Speed Leasing, official leasing sponsor of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, aims to drive dealer engagement through the launch of a monthlong contest tied to the event.
For every application submitted and deal funded in May, dealers in Speed Leasing’s network will receive Speed Points. The dealership with the most Speed Points will win a trip to the Sturgis Rally; other prizes include cash, lodging at the event, and Speed Leasing apparel.
Capital City Cycles, a Columbia, S.C.-based used-motorcycle dealer, believes that the contest will give it more opportunities to explain leasing options to customers.
“Our goal is to always increase business across the board,” Manager Brandon Collins told Powersports Finance. “It’s definitely an incentive for us to try and push more contracts to that side of the business.” The dealership originates at least 50 leases per month, with 70% of qualifying bikes going through Speed Leasing.
“Working in dealerships and coming from the dealership life myself, we very rarely get to partake in these rallies because we are busy doing business,” Frank Dionisi, director of sales for Speed Leasing, told PSF. The winner of the contest will be named on June 5. The rally takes place Aug. 3-12 in Sturgis, S.D.
