We are hearing that the bailout plan for the U.S. automakers will be made public on Dec. 10.
Apparently, the government has been targeting Dec. 10 for the plan’s unveiling for at least a week. We understand that various regional Federal Reserve Banks — the Chicago Fed, in particular — have been approached by the U.S. Government Accountability Office to vet various aspects of the bailout plan.
