Motorcycle travel and rental company EagleRider has nearly tripled its rental network to 100 locations as a part of a series of enhancements it made to its Club EagleRider membership, the company announced in a press release.
For $29 a month, Club EagleRider members will gain access to the newest 2018-model-year motorcycles and will save on average 65% over regular EagleRider rental rates, according to the press release. In addition, members get 20% off all EagleRider products including apparel, additional rental days, packaged travel, and tours. Membership requires a $29 one-time initiation fee, as well as monthly payments of $29.
“Club EagleRider is our answer for both the sharing and experience economies because this program allows both new and experienced riders immediate access to motorcycles all over the country,” Chris McIntyre, chief executive officer and co-founder of EagleRider, said in a press release. “The expanded network of locations and flexibility to rent bikes allow our members to do everything on road, off road, and anytime, everywhere.”
Through the membership program, EagleRider hopes to reach new and experienced riders by offering current models at cheaper rates. The company reports that 70% of Club EagleRider members already own a motorcycle but use their membership to try out different models. The company has also identified an opportunity through the program to reach riders with a motorcycle license but do not own a vehicle.
The Hawthorne, Calif.-based EagleRider formed a strategic partnership with Harley-Davidson to implement the rental program in Harley dealerships in May 2017. The partnership currently has 35 dealers in the network, with plans to launch 70 more later this month.
