Generations Federal Credit Union launched CUDirect’s Credit Union Direct Lending AutoSMART program, — a new online auto-finder resource — on Thursday. The new function will allow members to research, compare, read reviews, and receive trade-in values on thousands of vehicles in one place, according to a company press release.
The AutoSMART program simplifies the car-buying process by linking San Antonio, Texas-based Generations Federal Credit Union’s online auto loan application directly on the AutoSMART website.
“The AutoSMART platform is another way our credit union is focusing on and enhancing overall service to our members,” Steve Schipull, Generations FCU’s president and chief executive, said in the release. “Consumers have an array of choices when it comes to financial services, so simplifying, streamlining, and bringing options to them in their homes and on their mobile devices is a convenience that offers a competitive edge.”
Other features of AutoSMART include a monthly payment calculator, links to vehicle history and value guides, and the ability to contact dealers directly from the website. It also provides links to the credit union’s insurance services.
CUDirect is a credit-union service organization that provides indirect lending and point-of-sale services for the credit union industry. The company develops custom applications, training, and marketing programs to help participating credit unions serve their members’ auto buying needs.
